Transportation Services

Non-Emergency Transportation (NET)

Non-emergency transportation is provided to eligible Nevada Medicaid recipients to obtain medically necessary, Medicaid covered services (42 CFR 431.53). Transportation services may include bus tickets, curb-to-curb delivery service, gas mileage reimbursement and commercial airline services. When medically necessary, a recipient can be authorized to have an attendant accompany them during travel, or if the recipient is a minor with the exception of travel to and from a Residential Treatment Center (RTC).

MTM is Nevada's NET broker. Prior authorization from MTM is required for all non-emergency transportation services.

Recipients are encouraged to provide MTM with 5 days’ notice prior to the date of their appointment. Urgent and same-day appointments can be accommodated.

Nevada Check Up recipients are not entitled to non-emergency transportation assistance.
