ID Waiver Renewal Solicitation for Public Comment
The Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Waiver for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ID Waiver) is currently in the process of renewal. The changes that are being proposed and will be submitted to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid for approval are as follows:
- Addition of Dental Services for ID Waiver recipients ages 21 and over and “Goods and Services” to the existing waiver services;
- Allow Legally Responsible Individuals (LRI) to receive payments for providing Residential Support Services and Non-Medical Transportation; and,
- Increase waiver service rates approved during the 2023 Nevada Legislation.

Waiver for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (ID Waiver)
This waiver serves recipients of all ages who have a documented intellectual disability or related condition, such as Autism or Down Syndrome, as determined by the Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP) and the Aging and Disability Division (ADSD), and who maintain the required Level of Care (LOC) (admission into a Intermediate Care Facility/Intellectual Disability (ICF/ID) within 30 days if waiver services or other supports were not available). The following services are offered in this waiver:
- Jobs and Day Training Services (Day Habilitation, Prevocational Services, Supported Employment, Career Planning)
- Residential Support Services (intermittent or residential)
- Residential Support Management
- Behavioral Consultation, Training and Intervention
- Counseling (individual and group)
- Non-Medical Transportation
- Nursing Services
- Nutrition Counseling
Service Coordination is provided by ADSD staff for all ID recipients.
