Fair Hearings


The Hearings and Policy component of the Program Integrity Unit enables a Medicaid recipient to request a Fair Hearing if covered services are denied in part, denied, suspended or terminated.

Nevada Medicaid providers are offered a Fair Hearing for any adverse action taken against them by the Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP), their QIO vender, a Health Care Management Organization, or any contractor acting on behalf of the DHCFP.

An Administrative Hearing, with the Department of Administration, Hearings Office, is made available for all qualifying Fair Hearing requests made to the DHCFP Hearings Unit.
