Non-Emergency Transportation (NET)
Non-emergency transportation is provided to eligible Nevada Medicaid recipients to obtain medically necessary, Medicaid covered services (42 CFR 431.53). Transportation services may include bus tickets; mileage reimbursement; curb-to-curb delivery service, lodging; meals, and the reimbursement of travel expenses incurred for escort(s), if their attendance is determined medically necessary, or if the recipient is a minor.
MTM is Nevada's NET broker. Prior authorization from MTM is required to receive mileage reimbursement.
Recipients are encouraged to provide MTM with 5 days notice prior to the date of their appointment. Urgent and same-day appointments can be accommodated.
Nevada Check Up recipients are not entitled to non-emergency transportation assistance.
