Electronic Health Record Incentive Payment Program
Welcome to the Nevada Medicaid Incentive Payment Program for Electronic Health Records (EHR)
As of October 11, 2016 a total of 621 providers and 31 hospitals have received over $50,303,438.22 in payments from the Nevada Medicaid EHR Incentive Payment Program.
The Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP) is pleased to announce the Nevada Incentive Payment Program for Electronic Records went “live” August 6, 2012. This program is part of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) Electronic Health Records Incentive Program. The funding comes from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) HITECH law, and provides incentive payments to eligible professionals (EPs), eligible hospitals (EHs) and critical access hospitals (CAHs) as they adopt, implement, upgrade or demonstrate meaningful use of certified EHR technology.
Eligible providers can register with CMS using the CMS EHR Incentive Registration link provided under Links. Once registered with CMS, please visit the Nevada Medicaid Provider Portal using the link provided to complete your Nevada EHR program registration.
Providers need to be enrolled in NV Medicaid as an eligible provider type and be a provider in good standing. Please check your provider enrollment status with HPES by calling 1-877-638-3472 and select provider enrollment.
On October 6, 2015, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the Final Rule which revises the Meaningful Use requirements for Program Years 2015 through 2017. The rule became effective December 15th, 2015.
The Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP) is proud to announce that the Nevada EHR Incentive Program System (NEIPS) is first in the nation to receive CMS approval to support Modified Stage 2 meaningful use attestations. Concurrent with the receipt of this approval, NEIPS is now available to support Modified Stage 2 meaningful use attestations for program year 2016.
Thank you for your interest in the Nevada EHR Incentive Program.
