Committee Background
Following the 81st Legislative Session (2021), Senate Bill (SB) 309 established the Medicaid Reinvestment Advisory Committee (MRAC). Per the Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) 422.175, 422.185, 422.195, and 422.205 the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP) is responsible for establishing, developing, and implementing a Medicaid managed care program(s) to provide health care services and access to care for Medicaid recipients. The purpose of the Committee is to make recommendations, advisory in nature, based on reports reviewed to the Division and Medicaid managed care organizations concerning the reinvestment of funds by those Medicaid managed care organizations in the communities they serve.

- The Administrator of the Division of Health Care Financing and Policy, DHHS.
- The director of a social services agency of the county.
- Jamie Sorenson, Director, Clark County Social Services
- A representative of the government of the county.
- Two members who represent the government of different cities whose population is 100,000 or more that are located in the county.

- Hayley Jarolimek, Neighborhood Services Manager, City of Henderson
- Two members who represent nonprofit organizations that work with recipients of Medicaid who reside in the county and receive health care services through managed care.
- Fuilala Riley, President, CEO, HELP of Southern Nevada
- Erika Washington, Executive Director, Make It Work Nevada
- One member who represents the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services of the Department.
- Robert Thompson, Administrator, Division of Welfare and Supportive Services, DHHS
- Other persons that the Director deems necessary or appropriate to serve as nonvoting members.
