RE: Important Changes Coming to Rural Nevada Medicaid
Dear Rural Fee for Service Medicaid Members,
In 2024 Nevada Medicaid surveyed rural Nevadans on how to improve services. Rural members want:
- Easier appointments
- More preventative health options
- More doctors and health care providers
Medicaid responded. New health plans are coming to rural Nevada. The plans will be held to appointment standards, be rewarded for offering preventative health services that improve outcomes and use their resources to bring more health care options to rural areas. Starting this fall, some rural Nevadans will need to keep an eye out for letters from the Health Plans. For more information, read this new flyer. Feel free to share it. You can also visit this website. If you have any questions, please write to StatewideMCO@dhcfp.nv.gov.
