Beneficiary Advisory Council

Council Background

Medicaid works best when it is driven by the voices and experience of its members. Nevada Medicaid recognizes the importance of including Medicaid beneficiaries and their families in understanding their health-related needs to effectively shape programs and policies. This is why we are launching the Beneficiary Advisory Council (BAC)!

The BAC is comprised of current and former Medicaid community health members with lived experience. BAC participants will have the opportunity to voice their concerns on various topics related to Medicaid policy. Included but not limited to service, quality of service, and other health and medical care services relating to the Medicaid program.

We are currently recruiting for the Beneficiary Advisory Council for the following positions:

  • Current or former Medicaid recipient
  • Individuals with direct experience with Medicaid beneficiaries such as caregivers or family members
